    Week Seven Recap

In a wild and crazy week 7, things got started at 8:30 on Firemans with Slappin Da Base beating up on Los Caballos. Their early win kept both themselves and Yadda alive.

Across Fireman’s, Yadda dug themselves out of a 4-0 hole, and entered the sixth leading 12-9 in a back and forth game. Despite Mo Money tying the game at 12, Yadda stayed resilient and scored 5 more in the seventh to win the league’s highest scoring game of the year, 17-12.

With all teams still alive, Yadda lost to Mo Money to eliminate themselves from playoff contention - that’s a loss they wish they could have back, because across the field, Slappin completed the sweep over Caballos. Yadda, amazingly, could have remained alive and forced a three-way tie. Instead, we have a two-way tie that will be unknotted on Friday at 3:30, in a one-game playoff between Los Caballos and Slappin Da Base.

Mo Money’s loss eliminated them from contention for the bye, as everyone knew it would take 9 wins to get the coveted express route to the semis. At Memorial 1, the Tigers and Toledo played a tight one, with the Tigers relying on an epic bomb from Jimmy Malakh to carry them to victory.

At Memorial 2, in a matchup between two teams both riding 4-game winning streaks, Hubba Bubba came back to beat Get Back, on the heels of a clutch hitting performance from the I S Betesh lawfirm.

All teams at Memorial entered play for their second game at 8-5. The two teams that would win their second games would get the two byes.
Hubba Bubba went up 3-1 early, but Get Back got clutch hits from Gabe Abadi and Albert Roditi to tie things up at 3. Hubba’s lawfirm came through again to give them the lead in the sixth, and then the entire crew exploded in the seventh for a 6-spot, to complete the sweep and earn the 1-seed.
Meanwhile, at Memorial 1, Toledo led 3-0 in the sixth before a shocking comeback late from the Tigers, including clutch hits from Ikey Mavorah, Selim Levy, and others - capped by the game-winning hit by Abdo Malakh to take the contest, 4-3.
